The foundation that doesn't change.
A stable, governed foundation for AI coding agents. Keep the core dependable. Swap the agents around it.
Built for trust
Every mechanism designed to make behavior visible, constrained, reproducible, and verifiable.
Stable by Design
Interfaces are additive-only. Dependencies pinned. Workers immutable. No automatic updates. Changes flow through develop → soak → candidate → stable.
Agents are Replaceable
Claude, Codex, Pi, OpenHands, Gemini — any agent speaking the Wire protocol becomes a governed worker. The Constitution remains independent.
Tamper-Evident Ledger
Every action recorded with evidence. What happened, why, who authorized it, and what supports the result. Durable answers to hard questions.
Graded Trust
Five-tier verification. Trust earned slowly, lost quickly. The Model Reputation Library tracks which models perform well for specific work.
Governance You Can't Bypass
Approvals, permissions, audit evidence, dry runs, emergency stops — all below the agent layer. One governing path, enforced.
Enterprise Ready
Designed for ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, and EU AI Act — not as compliance theater, but because good governance is a natural byproduct.
Three layers. One foundation.
The Constitution
The small, stable Rust core. Durable state, tamper-evident Ledger, event bus, config validation, worker supervision, permissions, verification, and lifecycle control. The Constitution is the system's single writer and authority.
The Wire
A deliberately small, versioned JSON-over-stdio protocol. One rule: existing workers keep working. Additive-only changes. Any agent speaking the Wire can become a governed steadfaste worker.
The Core Interface
Web UI, TUI, messaging gateway, operator dashboard — human-facing surfaces that expose governed state, evidence, and lifecycle without bypassing the Constitution.
Current Status
Wire ABI
Frozen specification with passing conformance tests
Architecture
Constitution, Covenant, and governance contracts consolidated
Rust Core Skeleton
Ledger, Wire, Gate, Verifier in development
Conformance Suite
Full test coverage for the Wire protocol
